Support us

Support healthy aging in Canada.

Every dollar and in-kind contribution keeps our research library free to read and our coach-led strength programs free for the adults 55–70 who need them most. We are supported through grants, foundations, corporate contributions, and technology partnerships.

Contributions go to program delivery: coaching time, the platform participants train on, and the free education library. There are no participant fees to subsidise and no product to sell.

Funding

Three routes that fund the work.

Grant & foundation funding

JWI is eligible for government grants, community foundation grants, and corporate social responsibility programs. This is our primary funding route and the one that most directly expands how many cohorts we can run. We are happy to provide documentation for due diligence — incorporation details, our measurement framework, and a budget.

Corporate contributions

Organizations can support JWI through corporate contributions, subject to our compliance framework and beneficiary-first mandate. Contributions support charitable program delivery; we sell nothing and offer no advertising or promotional consideration in return. Contact us to discuss terms.

In-kind technology

Technology companies can donate platform access or services to support program delivery. Our training platform is provided this way, in-kind, under a written donation agreement. In-kind support of this shape is unusually valuable to a small organization, because it removes a cost we would otherwise have to fund before running a single cohort.

Other ways to help

Not all of it takes money.

Refer a community organization

If you work with a seniors' centre, a community health organization, a library, or a faith group serving adults over 55, an introduction is genuinely useful. Reaching the people who benefit most is harder than delivering the program.

Coach with us

We are interested in hearing from qualified exercise professionals — kinesiologists, certified trainers with older-adult experience, physiotherapists — who want to contribute coaching time to a free program.

Share the library

Our research summaries are free, need no sign-up, and are written to be read by someone with no background in exercise science. Passing one to a parent, a patient, or a neighbour costs nothing and is the whole point of publishing them.

A note on status: Jasclair Wellness Institute is a federal non-profit corporation under the CNCA, Corp. No. 1641314-5, not a registered charity. We cannot issue charitable tax receipts and we do not solicit individual donations. Support today comes through grants, foundations, corporate contributions, and in-kind partnerships.
